I currently hold several board, committee, and public appointments i.e. National Institute of Clinical Excellence Technical Appraisal Panel, National Institute for Healthcare Research (NIHR) PPI Representative Research for Patient Benefit East Midlands, Myeloma UK (Representative on Patient and Carer Research Panel), and Nottinghamshire Hospice (Director/Trustee) Board and Strategy & Governance Committee.As a recent retiree with a wealth of experience in academia, international finance, and strategic leadership, I am keen to leverage my academic and business skills to make a significant contribution to effective and efficient healthcare.With a distinguished 35 year career in International Finance, Energy and Academia holding senior management roles positions at Lehman Brothers, Citibank, and strategic roles at BP. With significant collaborations with International Development NGOs, UN. Honing my business model and strategic develpment though projects in diverse locations from New York, Brussels, London, Singapore, to Vietnam, Angola and Bangladesh.Later my career tenure in academia, with academic experience of governance, collaborating with the Institute of Directors (IoD) and United Nations on training initiatives and spearheading modules on Sustainable Development, Business Ethics and Values-based Leadership. Notably, I partnered with Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) to design and deliver their Leadership Development program, showcasing my commitment to leadership excellence in healthcare. As an academic leader, I have engage with complex stakeholders to plan and deliver growth in our services and products. Managing a global team of over 30 academics, I successfully orchestrated the delivery of online and physical MBA programs across multiple countries, requiring the formulation and communication of a comprehensive strategy for international adult education.My career journey includes non-profit board roles and governance positions with several charities and academies, emphasizing my dedication to social impact and education leadership. Additionally, my collaborations with organisations like RSA and Social Enterprise London underscore my proficiency in social business development and strategic planning for social impact.Driven by a passion for education, governance, and strategic leadership, I am excited about the prospect of channeling my skills and experiences into the realm of healthcare to drive meaningful change and innovation with the committees I am working with.
