With twenty (25+) years work experience in oil and gas, water treatment, power generation and mining. Successfully lead teams in all phases of a project, from conceptual studies/design to commissioning, start-up, optimisation and maintenance. Experienced not only in the technical delivery of projects but also in project and field delivery including material management and contracting. Extensive experience managing multi-disciplined taskforces in the home office, in the field and distributed taskforces in multiple offices in multiple countries. Responsibilities for conceptual and front end engineering have included the preparation of scopes of work, project man-hour estimates, cost estimates, scoping studies (including site surveys), PFD development, P & ID development and specification development. Proficient in performing feasibility studies, operability studies, HAZOP studies, SIL reviews and project planning, scheduling and progress reviews. Experienced in providing knowledgeable insight into life cycle costs not just for the project but for the facilities forming part of the project. Responsibilities for detailed engineering have included the preparation of engineering deliverables from engineering drawings to material requisitions and scopes of work for contracts. Proficient in the generation of engineering and fabrication work packages for construction and fabrication yards respectively. Responsibilities for construction have included home and field team management of requests for information, late design changes and debottlenecking for construction, commissioning, start-up and maintenance. Has lead teams to the successful closeout of projects. Experienced in the generation of contractual documentation from RFP’s to award. Equally experienced in the generation of procurement packages from RFQ’s to award. Experience in the management of claims from Subcontractors.
