Paul Cormier is a dynamic manager and dedicated teacher who has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. He has consistently excelled through various professional positions by striving for excellence in all facets of his academic, personal, and professional life. Education and learning has been a key focus and responsibility in all his professional positions. Paul has a balance of: Formal education – Holding a Bachelor of Education Degree, a Masters Degree in Conflict Analysis and Management with specialization in organizational conflict management, and a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies with specialization in land / Peace and Conflict issues related to Aboriginal peace building. Direct professional experience – Over 20 years experience teaching at all levels and ages including curriculum design, development, evaluation, and delivery. 15 years experience in Human Resource management including employment equity, staffing, and organizational dispute systems design. Over 20 years supervisory and management experience. Over 15 years providing advice / guidance directly to students, managers, and Executives. Personal life experience – The son of a bush worker from Nipigon in Northern Ontario grounded in traditional teachings from various Aboriginal Elders across Canada who spent most of his childhood and teenage years trapping, hunting, and fishing. Paul is a member of the Wolf Clan and participates in spiritual practices of his culture.
