About Paul Curran
My name is Paul Curran. Currently I am one of the Educational Technologists in IADT, Dun Laoghaire. My role involves supporting lecturers in their teaching, in particular with their use of Blackboard and Microsoft Teams. I also create support resources for students, amongst other things. I studied Film and Television in IADT and went on to work in a number of community education settings that utilised film making and digital media as a means to engage with young people. Through this work I got involved in a number of innovative online learning projects and decided to do a Masters in this area. I am also the chairperson of Young Irish Film Makers, a national youth organisation focussed on working with young people through the medium of film, based in Kilkenny.
