About Paul de Cinque
I am the Chair of Brass and Music Education at the University of Western Australia's Conservatorium of Music, a position I have held since 2019. I conduct the UWA Wind Orchestra and Brass Ensemble, as well as teach units in Music Education and lead and co-ordinate all classes in the brass area. I am an active researcher in wind ensemble music, conducting, and music education. I have published compositions for school band and arrangements of works for wind orchestra. My peer-reviewed articles have appeared in the Journal of Band Research and the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles journal.I am also heavily involved in community music. I am the current President of the National Band Council of Australia, the conductor of Canning City Brass Band, and actively involved with the Western Australian Band Association.
