About Paul Estlin

Believe it or not, I didn't always want to specialise in financial services law. Growing up, I wanted to be a professional footballer but it was apparent that I did not have the skills to reach the top of the footballing ladder. However, I realised at an early age that I had a penchant for problem solving and a passion for people being treated fairly. This lead me down the path of studying law and my first proper job working for a UK financial regulator. After my stint at the Financial Services Authority, I qualified as a solicitor and decided that I wanted to marry the skills I had obtained. As a result, I now provide specialist financial regulation and anti money laundering legal services. I work for the Lexis®PSL division of LexisNexis writing and editing practice notes and providing current awareness to LexisNexis clients. I also currently act as a consultant partner for leading challenger law firm gunnercooke and I also consult for a number of other firms such as Clarion Solicitors, Avery Law, Trillium and Bristows.
