About Paul Gilchrist

Delivering projects and business change initiatives have given me the most rewarding experiences in my career. No two projects are the same, each one bringing its own challenges whether that is around building a team, stakeholder management, delivering the project or managing the change with the end users. Each one offers opportunities to learn from the experience and apply that learning to the next project. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in a number of different fields, starting with finance and accounting initially, through supply chain management, third part logistics, project management and facilities management. In all of these roles, I have had the opportunity to lead a number of business change projects whether they are driven down from the global organisation or are local initiatives; from a £13.7m office move to the introduction of a new visual transformation service. I bring a calm, analytical, measured approach. I am able to see the big picture but equally able to roll up my sleeves and get involved in the detail. I thrive under the pressure that project delivery generally operates under, leading my team to ensure that they are able to deliver at their best. My skills include: Project planning, stakeholder management, risk & issue management, change management, commercial acumen, business case development, team leadership and development. I am continuing to develop my professional competence having recently attained Membership status with the Association for Project Management, completing the International Consortium for Agile Certified Professional Certification and now progressing to the APM Project Professional Qualification.
