A strategic and experienced nonprofit executive, Paul Gorman has served as a passionate advocate for access and inclusion in the community health and wellness space for over 40 years, leading with the perspective earned as a word-class elite runner, achieving success through hard work, discipline, and perseverance. As President and CEO of the South Shore YMCA Association, Paul has successfully doubled membership, program participation and increased charitable donations from $1.3 million to $5.2 million for one of the oldest and most successful Y associations in the nation, managing a $40 million annual budget and investing over $80 million in new facility development and expansion. Paul has played a major leadership role in the advancement of the local YMCA movement for over 20 years, developing robust nonprofit executive boards that share his deep commitment to the mission of the organization. With the vision to understand the growing needs of each community served, Paul has raised over $50 million in capital funds and forged lasting partnerships to develop new state-of-the-art urban and suburban Y facilities that ensure the Y remains relevant, sustainable and impactful to strengthen the community for generations to come.
