About Paul Hanzel

Overview: Disney Cast Member, 15+ years of leadership experience, Harvard educated, volunteer. Passionate about sustainable travel, memorable service, and emotionally intelligent leadership. Greetings from the Walt Disney World Resort! My current role at TWDC involves work with Environmental Sustainability across Disney Experiences throughout the world. I work with site partners to identify strategic opportunities for achieving our company's 2030 environmental goals, including net-zero direct emissions, zero waste to landfill, natural climate solutions, and more. I have years of management experience, leading teams within Premium Services, Entertainment, Labor Operations, and Sales & Travel Operations, among others. I have experience working in and with multiple international markets, including Asia, Western Europe, Central America, and South America. My primary language is English, I am fluent in Spanish, and have basic proficiency in French. Outside of my duties at the Walt Disney World Resort, I am a regular volunteer at Special Olympics, Give Kids The World Village and GTS Husky Rescue, and an occasional volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Junior Achievement, Adult Achievers, Adult Literacy League, and others. I am an admitted degree candidate at Harvard Extension School, where I have maintained Dean's list honors since my acceptance. I will complete my ALB (Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Social Sciences) in May of 2024. My coursework is focused on guiding behavioral changes through strategy and empathy. My next career goal is to work for National Geographic Expeditions and/or Adventures by Disney, leading teams that design and develop sustainable trip strategies for both brands.
