About Paul Hill

I was born in Tyler, Texas. My father was in the military and stationed in Texas. My grandfather had a camera store in Tyler. He had a portrait studio and I remember most how wonderfully he was able to paint with light. I do believe that he was my artistic mentor - only I did not know it at the time. So my journey began. I spent most of my Professional years in advertising as art director & creative director for various advertising agencies. After much time spent in those incredibly busy and stressful environments, starting my own business became more intriguing. This began my journey as an independent artist. Doing mainly illustration and design work kept quite busy for many years, but still, the desire to express my own artistic opinion was always in the forefront of my goals. So, for the last 15 years, I have been doing what I have "always" wanted to do -"bend metal"- and could not be more pleased. I have been able to release myself into a medium that has been so patiently screaming at me most of my life as an artist. I am glad I finally listened to someone.
