About Paul James

Over 15 years in management; from a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment, to customer facing high-volume licensed retailers. I currently work at Get Laid Beds, a leading online retailer of handmade wooden beds. As the lead in procurement team I have achieved over savings per annum in material costs and negotiated savings on courier costs worth over per annum. I have implemented new SaaS systems and integrations, standardizing data processing and applying kaizen methods to reduce waste in productivity. I have also managed multiple key tenders, and production scaling projects, as well as leading a large and diverse team of operatives. In production, I have developed and implemented processes saving 35%(approx 1 hour per output unit) in time in motion and over-processing, managed two factory re-locations and grown the production team four-fold. I strive for improvements and to streamline processes, whilst planning forward thinking SOPs. I look to find innovative solutions and streamline processes, with a goal of quality, reliable output, and customer satisfaction. I am used to the dynamic and agile environment, in which I can collaborate with different stakeholders and levels of the organization.
