About Paul Jepson
Semi-retired, but far from idle. I now work independently at the intersection of rewilding science, systems thinking, and future innovation — combining decades of conservation experience with a fresh, creative lens. As Head of Science & Innovation at CreditNature, I co-developed the NARIA framework to bring scientific assurance to emerging nature credit markets. My earlier academic chapter included a doctorate in biodiversity policy from Oxford, where I went on to co-founded and lead the MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation & Management, and helped shape the fields of conservation biogeography and conservation culturomics. I’ve published widely, from scholarly research to Rewilding: The Radical New Science of Ecological Recovery (Icon Books, 2021), helping make rewilding science more accessible and relevant.
