About Paul Johns

My name is Paul and I teach in Thomasville, GA. I have a Masters and Bachelors degrees in music education from the University of Georgia and Valdosta State University respectively. At Thomas County Central, I teach marching band, Blue band, Jazz band, and AP Music Theory. The Blue band under my direction has consistently received superior ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluation and at Festival Disney. The jazz band has been successful as well playing at many community events, Festival Disney, and local university concerts. My primary instrument is clarinet, but I feel comfortable teaching all instruments. While at UGA, I had the opportunity to assist with two research studies dealing with assessment in music; both were published. I am a highly motivated teaching looking for a band director position in the southeast.
