Senior Engineer, Utilities. Lead a team of Engineers and Project Managers in managing planning, design, and construction for multiple utility capital improvement projects throughout the City of Escondido. Projects included the design and construction of Wastewater, Potable Water, Reclaimed Water, and Brine facilities, as well as the on-going maintenance requirements of a 75 MGD Potable Water treatment plant, an 18 MGD Wastewater treatment plant, 14 wastewater lift stations, 8 potable water reservoirs, and more than 840 miles of distribution and collection system pipeline. Responsible for RFP’s through Notice of Completion for planning, design, engineering, and construction work. Responsible for development of city-wide Water, Wastewater, and Reclaimed Water Master Plans, as well as master plans for Water and Wastewater treatment plants. Assisted with CIP budgeting and long-term planning. Assisted with obtaining funding sources, including State Revolving Fund loans and Department of Water Resources grants. Utility, Street and Grading design, Project Management. Hillside and steep terrain specialty, as well as extreme flat site grading design. Broad-based experience taking projects from initial conceptual design completely through construction and agency approvals. Multi-family experience with detailed design for apartments, condos, and detached (block) condos. Large project experience, with projects up to 6400 acres. Specialties: Project Management of major projects challenged by difficult topography, drainage or edge constraints. Extreme steep or flat terrain grading and drainage design. Innovative solutions to difficult sites.
