As Superintendent of Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC), I lead with a clear purpose: to cultivate a thriving, student-centered culture where innovation, wellness, and opportunity intersect. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside dedicated educators, engaged families, and forward-thinking community partners to ensure our students graduate Bulldog Ready—equipped with the knowledge, skills, attributes, and experiences needed to succeed in life, college, and careers. At BCSC, we believe in personalized learning, real-world experiences, and early college and career exposure. Through strategic initiatives such as Bulldog Ready, our Ford NGL designation, and robust partnerships with Ivy Tech and regional employers, we’ve built a K-12 system that prepares students for the challenges of tomorrow. Our students are earning industry-recognized credentials, leading community-connected projects, and benefiting from a holistic focus on mental health and student wellness. I’m honored to serve as the 2025 Indiana Superintendent of the Year and to advocate for all Hoosier children as the Legislative Chair for the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS). Whether testifying before lawmakers, mentoring new superintendents, or shaping local initiatives like our Innovation Center or Outdoor Learning Center, I remain committed to creating fertile ground for student and educator growth. Leadership begins with listening. I value integrity, collaboration, and a bias for action. Education is not just a profession—it’s a responsibility to our future.
