Do you want experienced guidance from someone you can trust?My name is Paul LaViola, and I am the co-founder of an independent wealth management firm, Foundation Wealth Management, LLC, that's located in the heart of downtown Media, PA. My passion is working closely with families and individuals to help them organize and manage their financial lives. I always strive to put my clients first by helping to solve their problems, helping them with financial decisions and designing smart strategies for keeping them on track. There's great satisfaction in helping someone who may have received poor advice in the past, but who now feel well taken care of because I've helped them get a handle on their financial future.When I first started out in the industry, I learned some disturbing truths, the biggest of which was, in order to make money, I'd have to sell financial "products"​ to people and earn the commission. This felt very wrong to me. I looked for a better way to help people financially, and found a position with a fee-only planner. I've never looked back.When my parents prepared for retirement, I watched a parade of so-called financial advisors come to the house and try to sell financial products without really helping them address their needs. My parents were good people-hard workers, good savers and they lived within their means. My parents needed guidance, analysis and a strategy to help them retire. From then on, I made it my mission to help and serve people like them.As a professor at Temple University, I teach my students the importance of educating themselves on personal finance, use common sense approaches and strategies and maneuver past the financial land mines that exist and the traps that Wall Street creates.
