As an experienced Operations Manager with disciplines ranging from Production & Project Management, Conference & Event Planning and Delivery, Strategic Planning and Corporate Diligence with over 20 years in industry, having worked in both the Waterside Theatre, self -employed events company and currently the Millennium Forum, I have worked with the team to ensure that the Millennium Forum has grown from a £1.8m turnover to approaching £5.4m. Consistently working on strategy, whether on recruitment, long term business planning, setting goals and managing crucial budgets, I have been an integral part of the team and the success of the NW largest theatre. From creating efficiency savings leading to a reduction in costs of over 10% to working closely with carefully selected business partners, guaranteeing a high quality, affordable, creative and imaginative service tailored to suit all our client’s needs. This report sets a benchmark that is used both on a month by month basis and forms part of a yearly report, measured against targets set out in our corporate plan. I am confident in my disposition and with an ability to communicate with colleagues, fellow professionals or dignitaries, all with the same respect and ability to put at ease. Managing a multi-purpose site with a variety of management duties has ensured I am quick on my feet with the ability to adapt rapidly and respond to changes in environment and priorities. I have the ability to multitask and manage priorities with little supervision currently only reporting to my CEO and Board of Directors As an "ideas" person I thoroughly enjoy open training sessions where great improvement ideas can freely flow. I am a very open manager, engaging with all my staff and allow them as much as possible, the space to be creative with their plans whilst guiding them of possible pitfalls they may experience when attempting to create new business opportunities for their respective departments
