These traits have helped position me as a forward-thinking, visionary leader. In work and life I move once the traffic lights turn orange, if you wait on green then you're too late, you get swallowed up in the land grab crowd and left with the crumbs. As international project lead I strive to orchestrate a harmonious fusion of commercial and engineering excellence, engaging and positioning at the forefront of innovation. I am an engineer and MBA graduate with over 30 years experience within global manufacturing, engineering, software, renewable energy, packaging and environmental industries. I am also commercially astute, highly influential manager, leader with comprehensive global experience and success in broad range of industrial sectors from renewable energies, through to digital transformation. I have a robust record of achievement in all levels of management roles including founder/CEO of multi-award winning start-up SMEs, securing international awards for innovation and patents. Project successes include forming, submitting and winning several EU R&D bids including the €12.36M GenComm renewable energies bid and the BIMcert project - the first H2020 project secured by any college in the FE sector. Other international work includes leading collaborative renewable energy, energy storage, green technology, clean energy, cyber security and digital transformation projects. Other specialist areas include R&D work into digital transformation, innovative packaging, specifically bio polymer work to replace fossil fuel based packaging linings in throw away cups and single use packaging.
