About Paul McKibben

I am an Ohio State Bar Association certified paralegal with strong research, investigative, writing, and editing skills. My paralegal experience includes personal injury, business litigation, and immigration law. I am able to work quickly and accurately while meeting deadlines. I am also a former journalist who witnessed, covered, and interacted with legal processes in government and courts. I have experience with requesting and working with public records and conducting interviews of people at all levels. I have also occasionally freelanced as a journalist and as an editor. As an experienced editor and journalist, I have approximately 20 years of producing compelling content for print and digital platforms During the pandemic, I earned my post-baccalaureate certificate in paralegal studies from UC Clermont College, earning a 3.9 grade point average. The college’s paralegal program is certified by the American Bar Association. My courses included real estate law, civil litigation one and two, legal research and writing one and two, introduction to legal studies, estates and probate, family law, law office technology, administrative litigation, a full-time practicum in immigration law, and the college's inaugural legal clinic. In 2020, Catholic Digest, the national magazine I edited, won awards from the Catholic Press Association for the third consecutive year. I'm very detailed-oriented. I can work quickly and accurately on deadline. I love communicating with my peers. I enjoy the law, research, writing, and working directly with clients.
