I get things done. I’m a seasoned information technology player/manager, with extensive and multi-disciplined global experience. As the Head of the International Solutions Team at Pace plc (FTSE 250 listed), I led and set objectives for four teams of regional Technical Pre-Sales Professionals and two Product Strategy Managers, in an ~$800m business unit. From the pre-sales perspective, as one of the stretch-objectives of that role, I devised a costing model for roadmap products to make it possible to achieve indicative quote accuracy in seconds. From the product strategy objectives of that role, I built a ten colleague strong global virtual team, and led the delivery of a global hardware roadmap. I’m a firm believer in the existence of ‘motivations to buy’, identify and validate those and you’re onto something. Invest in finding the right partners, channels, and leverage those for reduced cost of sales. I’m a firm disbeliever in USPs; just because no-one else is selling millions of Linux servers into monasteries doesn’t mean that there’s a market. My achievements include bid managing Pace’s Elements middleware largest win, paytv solution architect, project manager and virtualiser of Linux/Windows/VoIP demonstration platforms. In 2002 I co-founded a start-up with 4 friends, after the better part of 10 years in a company which at it’s peak claimed to have employees.
