About Paul Mosca

My over-arching goals are to maintain a world class surgical oncology practice and cancer research program and to cultivate a strong leadership skill set in academic medicine and health network development. Every bit of education and training I have completed has been aimed at fulfilling my passion for understanding health and human disease from molecular level to the health systems level in order help patients, directly and indirectly, as much as I possibly can. At the same time, I have a passion around the quality of interpersonal interactions and strongly feel that the basis of all healthy relationships and organizations - whether it is in one's role as a leader, educator, physician, or colleague - is a foundation of mutual respect, compassion, embracement of diversity, and genuine concern for and commitment to the well-being of others. Specialties: Surgical oncology, cancer research, immunology/immunotherapy, education research, and healthcare systems management. Among active research projects are: 1. Improving the treatment of patients melanoma; 2. Health services research aimed at understanding the links between patient experience, safety culture and clinical outcomes; 3. Working to improve work culture, quality, and efficiency in health systems.
