Civil Engineer and Rail / Transit Track Engineer / Project Manager Over 30 years’ varied experience in civil engineering and surveying – including Fifteen (15) years’ experience providing rail/ transit engineering and management services for track projects - as a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, creating solutions to technical and project problems through planning, design, construction, and project management. Using my knowledge of civil engineering and rail/ transit industry standards and practices, expertise in track, and project management skills, I perform and lead teams with technical guidance, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve high quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Experience and Qualifications Railroad and Light Rail / Transit Engineering: • Track Alignment Design engineering, including AREMA paper on “Guidelines for Turnouts [switches] in Horizontal Curves” – principal author and presenter • Track work construction and maintenance, including special track work • Railroad surveying, Right-Of-Way documents, valuation maps, and plans • Load rating of steel railroad bridges Civil Engineering and Surveying: • Civil Engineer–Bridge – ranked 1st or 2nd (of 5) by PA Civil Service Commission for southeastern PA • Surveying - mapping and construction, research • Utility relocations • Highway Occupancy Permits (PennDOT) – utilities and intersections, including inspection • Land developments • Construction and project management, including field work Legal – Civil Engineering Related: • Construction, contracts, and claims for private and government projects • Land use and development – planning, zoning, subdivisions, and improvements • Municipal – road law, public works, utilities, building codes, and solid waste management • Environmental – water and land
