About Paul Oconnor

Paul O'Connor runs Judo Design from his office in the centre of a large forest, in the middle of nowhere, in a remote region of north-west Ireland, on the farthest edge of western Europe. He has over 30 years experience in all types of print and digital graphic design. His client base is predominately from the charity and non-profit sector, government agencies and Buddhist organisations. He also works closely with a number of communications and public relations teams to offer clients full communications, marketing, strategy and research facilities. In Dublin (last century!) he was a founding director of The Light Surgeons and created mixed media projections for contemporary dance and music events for many musicians, from DJ Shadow to David Bowie. He also designed and produced many commercial product launches and fashion shows for companies like Smirnoff, Guinness, Mtv, Emporio Armani. In his spare time, he works as a volunteer designer for many Buddhist organisations and is a director of Bodhicharya Publications in the UK and The Ringu Tulku Archive in Ireland. Paul also designed and built websites for Bodhicharya.org, karmapafoundation.eu, jampaling.org, asralmongolia.org which he continues to webmaster.
