About Paul Pfister

As a Cyber Security Investigative Consultant at EY, I work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to develop robust security frameworks aligned with business objectives. I leverage my expertise in Tanium and network security to conduct comprehensive assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions. I enjoy the diversity of the work involved, as it challenges me to apply my skills and knowledge to different scenarios and domains. I am also a PhD candidate in Information Assurance at Iowa State University, where I conduct research on OT and SCADA systems. My master's work on simulating attacks on SCADA systems was published in a peer-reviewed journal. I have a strong background in various web technologies and full stack development, as well as system and network administration. I am an OSS enthusiast at heart, and I love all *nix based OSs, especially Gentoo. I am passionate about attack surface reduction, whether configuring for various hardening standards such as CIS or compiling my own kernels. I also enjoy all types of programming, from systems level to scripting.
