About Paul Press
Having spent my early childhood in a Belgian International school in Zaire, I went on to complete my formal education in the UK, gaining an honours degree in Electronic, Control & Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield. This led to my first career as an Engineer, where I worked across a number of industries over eight years before retraining as a teacher, completing my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Leeds. I am a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and hold a Certificate in Management from the Institute of Management in the UK. As a teacher I have taught in Secondary and Further education since 2002, and delivered the IB Programmes for over 13 years from 2007; firstly in Malawi, then in Thailand, and after that in Mozambique and Senegal. I am now lucky to be able to blend my Engineering experience with my passion for Educating as a Maths and Engineering Support Instructor at the Atlantic Technological University in Sligo, Ireland.
