About Paul Pretorius

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 and I have over 25 years of investment banking experience in both private equity and corporate finance. I have advised numerous clients on mergers and acquisitions, listings, capital raisings, JSE listings requirements, etc. with a number of institutions including PWC (Johannesburg and Netherlands), N M Rothschild & Sons, Coronation Capital and Activa Capital (a corporate finance boutique that I co-founded in 2008). I joined Sasfin Bank in May 2017 where I lead the corporate finance team and founded the Specialised Lending business. I joined Greenpoint Capital as a director in May 2023. Greenpoint is a leading private credit fund providing structured debt solutions for growth and acquisition purposes to mid market corporates in South Africa.
