About Paul Ralph

I'm Paul, and let me tell you, my passion for access and inclusion comes from both my personal experience as a disabled person and my many years of working in social services, social enterprise, and the voluntary sector. I'm an advocate for the transformative power of inclusive tourism and the opportunities it can bring to businesses. With my rich tapestry of skills, I can advise on the development and operation of visitor attractions and hospitality settings to make them more welcoming for disabled visitors. After spending years in social work, technology, and social enterprise, I decided to focus on the lived experience of disabled people when visiting tourism and hospitality settings. It became clear that outdated approaches towards welcoming disabled people were holding us back, so I set out to explore what was possible and how we could create equitable experiences for all visitors. That's how Partners in Access was born. When I'm not travelling, exploring, and storytelling, I'm leading Partners in Access, the business I founded to help create accessible and inclusive visitor experiences within tourism and hospitality. Over the years, I've gained recognition for my achievements, including establishing Disabled Access Day, advocating for digital accessibility, campaigning for environmental access, and promoting a holistic approach to creating visitor experiences that are accessible and inclusive for disabled people. You'll often see me showing my support for Euan's Guide, the disabled access charity, whose website features disabled access reviews from disabled people and their friends and families. As well as being a prolific reviewer with over 500 reviews, I'm also a Trustee of the charity.
