About Paul Redgate

Until recently I was employed by First Direct as a highly regarded Internal Communications Consultant. I was in the role for six very successful and enjoyable years managing and delivering inventive and engaging communications. The focus at First Direct is very much on its people and its customers and is regularly recognised for the service it delivers. In my role I ensured that employees were engaged with the aims of the business and had the confidence and appetite to actively play their part in achieving them by delivering the best customer service. To this end I managed the communications strategies for culture and engagement building events, such as their business-wide 21st birthday celebrations, seasonal and tactical sales and brand campaigns and the embedding of new core values. As an experienced, mature and knowledgeable member of the Internal Communications team I deputised during managerial absence and crossover, providing advice, guidance and inspiration to colleagues to help them successfully manage their output. As a result the team continued to deliver their best during an uncertain time. I was held in very high esteem within First Direct and was recognised several times at an annual awards ceremony where just 250 amazing people, out of more than were nominated from across the business. I’m pleased and proud to say that I was a winner again this year.
