Background

About Paul Rojas

I am a Technical Operations Engineer with over 7 years of experience maintaining high-availability telecommunications infrastructure for US-based MVNOs. My background is rooted in L2-L3 incident resolution, managing complex mobile network deployments, and maintaining strict SLAs. However, my core drive lies at the intersection of systems operations and software development. I actively bridge the gap between technical support and backend engineering. To reduce incident response times, I develop automated monitoring tools utilizing PHP, jQuery, and MariaDB to track network KPIs. I treat my personal infrastructure as a production environment, orchestrating a multi-node hardware fleet using Ansible, and automating continuous integration pipelines with Woodpecker CI and Docker. Recently, I have also been engineering an automated customer support scoring system integrated with LLMs to streamline ticket analysis workflows. I thrive in environments where operational resilience is critical, and I am looking to bring my telecom-grade troubleshooting and my hands-on modern development stack (Laravel, Alpine.js, Livewire, SQL optimization) to a dynamic Systems Engineering, Technical Operations, or DevOps-adjacent role.
