About Paul Rumph

Specialties: MILSATCOM, Wideband Global Satellite Operations, DSCS Satellite Operations, Satellite Network Planning and Management, Electromagnetic Interference Resolution Paul has extensive experience in Satellite Communications, to include link troubleshooting, satellite communications payload control and electromagnetic interference resolution. He enlisted in the Army April 2005 as a 25S1C (Satellite Controller). During his time in the Army, Paul has served as a Senior Wideband Controller, Wideband Payload Master Trainer, Company Operations NCO, Battalion Operations NCO and Battalion Operations NCOIC. Paul has been involved in the activation planning for every Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) currently in service, and led the company team for the activation of WGS-3. Paul was the enlisted lead for the Remote Monitoring Control Equipment (RMCE) phase I project. Working with U.S. and Australian Government in developing a multinational standard operating procedures for extended global control of the constellation. He has participated in several multinational and Combatant Command exercises as the Satellite Communications and Electromagnetic Interference subject matter expert (SME). He was selected as an Army liaison for the Secretary of Defense led Joint Jamming Assessment and Mitigation Study.
