I’m an experienced healthcare in-house counsel and strategic partner to business leaders and C-suite leadership, seeking practical and growth-oriented solutions in a rapidly changing legal and regulatory landscape. • Advise and counsel on strategic high-value contracts, transactions, and finance and investment issues; complex regulatory concerns that touch on the intersection of rapidly changing state and federal law; and legal issues related to achieving health outcomes. • Serve as corporate secretary for private foundation and nonprofit health maintenance organization affiliates, partnering with leadership and boards of directors to draft and maintain key corporate documents, minutes, and records, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate governance guidelines, and charters. • Manage and review outside counsel work to establish legal strategies to manage regulatory issues, litigation, and potential disputes to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient legal services. • Ensure compliance with state and federal privacy laws, including HIPAA, with a focus on practical implementation of privacy regulations as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). • Provide collaborative leadership as an officer of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Health Law section, as well as a member of the Access to Justice Committee and Pro Bono Council, working towards legal services for all Minnesotans.
