About Paul Schaffner

I am a highly creative person that thrives in a dynamic environment. I am the type of person that can be tasked with any role–no matter if familiar to me or not–and find a way to succeed. With over 20 years of professional experience, I understand the need to complete projects within clear deadlines and with whatever is at my disposal. My specific and unique skill-set is in creative problem-solving; digging into problems and pushing through to usable solutions is my strength. In regard to design aesthetic, mine is rooted by the Bauhaus school of design aesthetics–cubism, futurism, minimalism. I agree with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's statement of "less is more" which accurately defines my philosophy. If an idea cannot be boiled down to a clear, simple idea it hasn't yet been properly thought-through. I have a widely varied and creative background and many years of experience. I am very experienced with Adobe's Creative & Production Suite, Multimedia Design, Print Design, Color Design, Typography, wood-working, Photography (studio / fieldwork), Painting, Video Production, Music Performance (Violin, Piano), Writing and Editing. I have built my own 10' x 12' studio designed and engineered by my own desire to get my hands busy with production and problem-solving. I have designed and worked in landscaping and managed to rise from floor merchandise inventory and stocking to management within a year in my time working with Home Depot's night crew.
