About Paul Schep

Until 2012 I was a lead auditor internal/operational audits within the Dutch Food Safety and Consumer Products Authority (NVWA). I focused at Internal/operational audits, but was regularly involved with IT-audits and financial audits. I professionalised my audit experience working for the audit department of the Dutch former ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Foodsafety. I mainly performed internal audits in a European context. I worked for Skal international because I believe in organic production, as well as I do in fair trade. I was inspector and certifier of organic production methods, organic textiles and FSC. I provided on the job training for international inspctors. I lived and worked as an ex-pat in Pakistan, Colombia and Bolivia for several years. My work focussed on range management, grass root organisations, village development schemes. My goal is to contribute to fair and sound production and consumption of food and consumer products in an international context.
