About Paul Scott

I am an environmental scientist with over 30 years of experience in exposure assessment, fate and transport modeling, environmental forensics, environmental statistics, human health risk assessment, and applied risk research. I have published 40 papers in the peer reviewed literature in the areas of fate and transport modeling, human health risk assessment, biomonitoring, environmental forensics, toxicology, environmental statistics, probabilistic exposure assessment, and physical hazard assessment. My experience has primarily focused on persistent organic chemicals such as the polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans, polychlorinated biphenyls, and perfluorinated chemicals (PFOA or PFOS) as wells as on metals such as lead and chromium. I also have experience modeling vapor emissions from soil for several volatile organic compounds such as benzene and the chlorinated solvents. Currently my work is focused on environmental forensics and exposure assessment. I have been a testifying expert on environmental forensics for two matters involving metals in the environment and have been a consulting expert in environemental forensics on several other matters.
