About Paul Sharp

I am Senior Counsel at BMO Financial Group in the Technology & Operations and Corporate Areas group. Prior to joining BMO, I was Senior Legal Counsel at Softchoice for 6+ years, where I was responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation and assisting my business partners with legal and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Softchoice, I worked as an associate in the litigation department of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP for 4+ years, where I practiced commercial litigation and insurance defence litigation. During my time as an associate, I completed an 8 month secondment with Loblaw Companies Limited. I both summered and articled with BLG. I completed my law degree (J.D.) at Queen's University and won awards for my work in both the 2008 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (Canadian Round) and the 2009 Niagara International Moot Court Competition. Prior to attending law school, I obtained a B.A.(Honours) in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Wilfrid Laurier University.
