Background

About Paul Solomon

Paul Solomon is a nationally recognized leader in the field of prisoner reentry and criminal justice reform — a strategist, systems thinker, and relentless advocate for second chances. For over two decades, Paul served at the helm of Sponsors, Inc, one of the nation’s most respected reentry organizations, including 12 years as Executive Director. Under his leadership, the agency expanded to operate 20 buildings across seven sites, offering more than 240 transitional and permanent housing units and a comprehensive range of wraparound services for people with conviction histories. He managed a $5.5M annual budget and a 50-person staff, guiding the organization through transformational growth and impact. Paul is a trusted voice in the design and delivery of evidence-based reentry services and permanent supportive housing. He plays an active leadership role on numerous boards and commissions, including as Chair of the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission and Co-Chair of the Governor’s Racial Justice Council’s Criminal Justice Reform Committee. Where others see broken systems, Paul builds bridges — aligning public policy, lived experience, and on-the-ground solutions to advance equity, safety, and healing in our communities.
