Background

About Paul Stoddard

As an urban planner, I work to complete planning projects that make a difference in helping communities meet their goals of creating sustainable, livable places.Early in my first career, I enjoyed walking and biking for most of my daily needs. Having so many travel options gave me a sense of freedom and helped me to remain active. I shifted careers to urban planning to help make this lifestyle available for as many people as want it. As I studied land use planning, transportation planning, and economic development, I came to understand the nuances and value judgments that must be made when planning communities. That understanding led me to learn about and develop public involvement skills. Now, I use my public involvement skills to identify community goals and my technical planning skills to make those goals reality.
