About Paul Thung

Independent trader with extensive experience, both at the Options Exchange and in commercial/advisory positions at various financial institutions. Experienced in the acquisition, supervision and advising of clients since 1992, developing into the role of asset manager at a small intermediary firm. As an account manager I became fully competent in communicating with various types of clients and in proactively advising on/managing portfolios with diversified compositions. Triggered by a growing affinity with options trading I started working at the Dutch Option Exchange in 1997 with a medium-sized market maker. Was promoted to equity partner after contributing substantially every year to the company result in After 6 years of floor-trading (open outcry), I became a screen-trader and made the necessary transition from "day trader" to Primary Market Maker. Was instrumental in selecting and developing trading software. Switched to “buy-side” in 2016, Joining the Mint Tower Capital-team to initiate market making and index portfolio management. Ran large hedge-position in collaboration with various desks (Bonds, Dispersion, Dividend etc) My strengths include the ability to make decisions quickly, even when large amounts are involved, and performing successfully in a competitive environment. My goal currently is to find a more meaningful way to contribute to the corporate world and society in general.
