About Paul Toman

I started my Agile journey many years ago. It intrigued me and appealed to my sense of adventure for new things, but also my natural enjoyment of teams and what’s now called servant leadership. I’ve had a few job titles, but many different roles on this journey while gaining experience on all sides of software and hardware development. All have prepared me to do what I love most, which is to share my experiences and skills with others as together we go through Agile Transformations. I’ve been in most positions in the tech world. Early days long ago writing code on the development side to being on the client or product side as well. I’ve filled roles in analysis and planning, and taught applications to end users. The connection point between all of these really has been the identification of value to the end user or customer and the focus on that as a singular goal. Agile, and SAFe Agile in particular, allows that to be the basis of all that we do. Overview: 20 Years of production and development experience. I’ve worked in highly regulated industries like FinTech, Aviation and Medical product development with additional background in business process and statistical analytics. Fully versed in Agile and applying it from individual systems and teams, to enterprise wide. A life-long coach in sports and more recently in business, I enjoy sharing because in doing so, I also learn and grow. Specialties within and outside of Agile: Technical Program/Project Management in wireless design (M2M, IoT, Aviation/Medical), and Website Design.
