About Paul Wach
I am a researcher, teacher, and aspiring leader in systems engineering. My research is motivated by the need to produce practical theory to serve as the scientific foundations for engineering systems within the evolving digital paradigm. I pioneer research in the area of theoretical foundations for model-based systems engineering. My philosophy is transdisciplinary and intersects with mathematical foundations, systems theory, systems modeling, simulation, ontology, and artificial intelligence. The sum-description of my education, research, and industrial experience is that I am biomedical, micro-/nano- electromechanical, aerospace, systems engineer and have managed highly complex socio-technical projects ranging from $1M to $12B USD. In addition to my current academic pursuits, I currently wield a role leading enterprise digital engineering transformation.
