Machine Operator at Lisi Aerospace | CNC | Power Press | Staubli Robot Operator | Heat Treatment Specialist The Deputy Line Leader role is a newly established position designed to bridge the gap between current Cell Leaders and the previous Back-Up Cell Leader system. This role provides more hands-on involvement, ensuring individuals are better prepared to step into full Line Leader responsibilities in the future. Key Responsibilities: • Act as a direct support to Cell Leaders in all day-to-day operational tasks • Assist in achieving daily production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards • Help with the setting, fixing, and running of machine processes to ensure consistent output and minimal downtime • Take initiative in identifying and implementing improvements to processes and workflow • Provide cover for Cell Leaders when required, demonstrating readiness to step into leadership when needed • Foster a positive and efficient team environment, promoting strong communication and teamwork • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Quality, and Customer Focus As a Heat Treat Specialist in aerospace manufacturing, I was responsible for ensuring parts met strict customer and quality standards through several key processes. My responsibilities included: • Heat Treatment: Making sure all components were heat treated to exact customer specifications, ensuring they met metallurgical and structural standards required by major clients such as Boeing and Airbus. • Machine Operations: • CNC Machines: Daily setup, operation, and monitoring of CNC equipment for precision part production. • Power Presses: Operating heavy-duty presses safely and efficiently as part of the forming process. • Staubli Robotic Arms: Managing automated robotic systems to support consistent, high-quality output. • Topping Machines (Traubs): Running Traub machines for topping operations on components. • Training & Development: I am a trained trainer in all of the above processes, regularly coaching team members and ensuring correct, safe, and efficient operation across heat treatment, CNCs, power presses, Staubli arms, and Traubs. This role developed my leadership, technical expertise, and quality-focused mindset — all of which have supported my transition into the Deputy Line Leader role. I also take on additional responsibilities as a Mental Health First Aider which our team has won awards, Fire Marshal, and First Aider, demonstrating my dedication to workplace safety and well-being. Also an active member of our Works Council.
