About Paul Weaver

I am looking to further my ambition of developing my role in the charity sector especially in the support of volunteers. I also wish to continue with writing as well as delivering training courses and have recently completed a PTTLS course. I have a particular interest, focus and passion for working in the disability market and believe that high quality information and advice leads to breaking down the barriers that still exist for people living with disabilities which will in turn lead to a better diverse society. Currently helping to form a new children's charity in the Colchester area with a mission to assist young people affected by neurological conditions. I have also been approached to become a trustee of said charity. I have served as an elected Chairman for a region of the Mutiple Sclerosis Society and am still a volunteer for the charity. I have worked alongside the Society, charities and the Department of Works and Pensions and other agencies to provide employment and training courses for people affected by disability. My previous buisness experience includes being Regional Vice President for an American insurance provider and a Senior Manager/Senior Trader for the second largest stock broker in the UK. Trained in both London and Wall Street. On diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis I changed my career goals and trained to become a course designer and facilitator for people with disabilities.
