About Paul Wheaton

I am an Investment Counsellor at Mawer Investment Management. Mawer is a privately owned and independent portfolio manager and we provide investment management services to a broad range of individual and institutional investors. Within the firm, I focus on discretionary wealth management for high net worth individuals and families in our Private Client and Family Office groups. To help my clients meet their investment goals, I work closely with them to develop a personalized Investment Policy Statement that incorporates their unique circumstances and objectives. Once these policies have been established, I build, manage and monitor client investment portfolios, ultimately freeing them to spend time on their passions without the responsibility of making day-to-day investment decisions. Our firm believes strongly in giving back to the community in which we operate and I try to do that in my personal life as well. I am passionate about the arts and serve on the Board of Directors of Theatre Junction GRAND as Secretary and Chair of the Governance and Human Resources Committee. I also serve on the Investment Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary and am active in Mawer’s annual United Way campaign. I love the outdoors and am an avid hiker. I’ve accomplished one of the Seven Summits and look forward to climbing a few more of them.
