About Paula Allison

Throughout my career as a teacher I have had the opportunity to be both teacher and student. These opportunities have helped build my experiences to assist in mainstreaming into various work environments. On a daily basis I had to plan, prepare and deliver appropriate lessons using a variety of creative and innovative methods. I continuously worked with teachers, aids and administrators to establish goals and follow curriculums. I continuously conveyed higher level thinking strategies and problem solving techniques appropriate for challenging and building skills. I was required to communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding both student’s progress and needs. Doing this helped build strong relationships with parents by communicating frequently to inform them of student academic and personal growth. I am a leader amongst my peers and also work enthusiastically and collaboratively in a team environment. I have a strong commitment to professional development outside of the classroom and enthusiastically seek regular observation and feedback for continued growth.
