Experienced and committed to supporting a team and individuals, I enjoy a challenging and diverse role where I can use my energy and forward thinking to provide the best technical support and advice to clients. Key skills Computer skills: Proficient with many Computer Aided Design programs, including the Autodesk AEC collection which provides a set of CAD and BIM tools; Autocad, Civil 3d and Revit. I have supported users with the effective use of many CAD programs and produced training material to assist with learning. Previously, as system administrator I setup user profiles and helped to resolve CAD/IT issues. I have carried out daily system maintenance and customised CAD programmes for users to work more efficiently. I have kept up to date with current trends and utilised software to work with both GIS and CAD effectively. Currently I use Aprotec to manage CAD drawings and documents. I have produced training material and technical manuals using Adobe Framemaker, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Communication Skills: I am able to communicate effectively with people from all parts of the business. I have a natural ability to put people at ease so that they can learn and develop their skills. I engage and influence others with my enthusiasm for what I do. Problem Solving Skills: I think through problems in a methodical and logical way. I welcome new challenges and have a proven ability to meet demanding deadlines during pressurised situations in the work place. Career Summary I have worked on a range of multi-disciplinary construction, engineering and environmental projects from inception to completion. I have produced 3d design concepts, updated engineering drawings, P & IDs and documentation using the latest CAD programs. I was responsible for the IMS/CAD system administration tasks for the Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station and provided support to enable users to work effectively with CAD tools. I have also worked with IT to support users with both Autocad and Revit programs to produce Architectural designs. By telephone, I have assisted engineers and the general public with the operation of controls/equipment. In the past I have managed a small team of CAD operators at an environmental consultancy. More recently I supported project managers with procurement and drawing production for the installation of cold rooms, acoustic and fire walls for commercial buildings. Currently I support the design team and other disciplines with 3d/2d drawing production and documentation to deliver projects from early-stage design through to construction.
