About Pauli Forma

I am currently working as a director responsible for the work ability services at the Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company. I also belong to the Executive group of Varma. Previously, I have worked in leadership roles at Keva and the Institute of Occupational Health and as a temporary professor at the University of Turku. I am interested in questions related to the management and operation of expert organizations, current themes being such as agile methods and self directing teams. My substance areas are well-being, work ability and work ability management. I am also interested in communications and social media. I regularly write on different blog platforms. I have also written the book "Johtajan työkykykirja"(Alma Talent 2023), which is the first book for the directors about work ability and work ability management. My positions of trust have been, for example, the board of Finnish Institute of Public Management HAUS, the Advisory Board of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority and the alumni board of Boardman. I have a doctorate in political science. My PhD dealt with the pension system. I am an adjunct professor in University of Turku and University of Helsinki. My hobbies are e.g. triathlon (7 full distances), orienteering and literature.
