About Paulo Stocker

Hi, I'm Paulo, a dedicated software engineer with over 10 years' experience in the field. My journey has been shaped by the search for technical and architectural challenges that enable me to grow and excel in the development of robust and efficient solutions. Specializing in the object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm, my career has been driven by a passion for creating clean, scalable, maintainable code that, above all, delivers results that are concise with requirements. My solid understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles and data structures has been the foundation for building complex, high-performance systems. My approach to architecting solutions is based on the principles of the Clean Architecture pattern and hexagonal architecture (Ports and Adapters), using software design approaches such as TDD (Test-Driven Development), (Domain-Driven Design) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development). Working with agile methodologies for task management, mainly focused on the use of Scrum, Kanban and Lean techniques.I believe that the choice of any architecture, design, programming language and work methodology should be constantly evaluated to suit the expectations of the project, avoiding cases where development stagnates due to the accumulation of often unnecessary processes. Although my main language is Java, I'm always ready to explore new tools and technologies, having already worked on stacks using Golang, Python, PHP, Javascript and others.🤝 In addition to technical skills, I'm known for my excellent communication, collaboration and helpful nature. My proactivity and adaptability allow me to tackle challenges creatively and effectively, even in adverse situations.I'm always on the lookout for exciting new projects and valuable connections. Curious at heart, I like to explore a variety of topics, from geopolitics to 90s Japanese hip-hop, and even theories about the nature of our reality (sometimes my curiosity leads me to "TEDTalks" on these topics). I firmly believe that sharing knowledge enriches life. Outside the world of technology, I have hobbies that help me slow down and enjoy life. Enjoying a good conversation, practicing photography, accumulating books, listening to some vinyl, running and connecting with nature are some of the activities that motivate me.
