About Pavan Kulkarni

I am recent graduate with a master’s degree in Electrical engineering with GPA of 3.4. I have always been fascinated by the look and feel of Automation, their functionality and accuracy. During my master’s degree, I have acquainted myself with robotics and automation through some strong coursework and academic projects. In a project I most enjoyed doing, I Designed a closed-loop sliding mode controller to control the motion of a robot using Simulink. Using which I simulated the motion of the robot and have generated Joint space trajectory and Cartesian space trajectory. With my strong background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering acquired from a bachelor’s degree, I landed a 6-month internship program at Airtech Pvt. Ltd, India. I acquired abundant knowledge on Automation, CNC working principles and, CNC and PLC controllers along with valuable industry experience. I landed a position as a trainee control engineer at Sharpline Machineries Pvt. Ltd, India, where I gained abundant experience by getting familiarized with the design and manufacturing of automated CNC machines and integration of them into CNC control systems of Siemens, Fanuc control systems and Allen Bradley. In addition, I worked extensively in the development of ladder logic (PLC programs) for CNC machines along with interfacing control systems, drives, feedback systems, servo motors, encoders, PLC, I/O modules. I was promoted as a Junior Control Engineer and transferred to a subsidiary company Swanand Sales and Services Pvt. Ltd, where I successfully delivered to the added responsibilities of design, planning and client interaction. Grabbing the next opportunity, I got, I continued my work in the same domain as a Senior Control Engineer at Airtech Pvt. Ltd, before moving to get my master’s degree.
