About Pavel Smolik
Over 20 years' experience in automation and process control systems in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Initially I worked for an independent integrator of control systems, first as a project engineer and later as a project manager mainly implementing international projects that were primarily initiated in Germany. Since 2006 I have been working for a large multinational pharmaceutical company where I have managed a team of 10 specialists focusing on automation for a bio-pharmaceutical production facility based outside Prague in the Czech Republic. Our team’s role is to implement, develop and manage the control systems for the plant’s bio-technological production. Since 2008 I have been the deputy maintenance plant manager, responsible for the mechanical and technological part of operations, maintenance and auxiliary operations (i.e. utilities) and other critical systems (water, steam, CIP).
