About Pavi Ruether

My journey in healthcare began when I was 20 years old, working as a Physical Therapy Assistant. From the very start, I was drawn to the unique challenges and needs of the geriatric population. That early experience gave me a deeper understanding of the physical struggles many seniors face, and it sparked a lifelong passion for serving older adults with dignity, empathy, and purpose. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of roles that have shaped who I am today as a leader. I spent time as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital, where I helped individuals navigate difficult behaviors and complex mental health conditions. That work taught me the value of patience, listening, and compassion—skills that I carry with me every day. My career eventually led me into consulting, where I had the privilege of working across five states and supporting a portfolio of 52 communities. It was during this time that I developed a broader view of long-term care and the systems that support both residents and staff. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I’ve always approached my work with a whole-person perspective, advocating not just for physical health, but for emotional and psychological wellbeing as well. In 2022, I became a CORE-certified Assisted Living Administrator and stepped into my current role as Executive Director of Banyan Place Assisted Living. Leading a dedicated and dynamic team here has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life. I truly believe that exceptional care begins with a strong, supported team—and my focus every day is to create an environment where both residents and staff feel valued, heard, and cared for. Outside of work, I’m incredibly blessed to share my life with my supportive husband, our three amazing children, and our furry friends. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me daily why I do what I do. At Banyan Place, I strive to create a community that feels like family—one where every person is treated with kindness, respect, and the warmth of home.
